I totally forgot I went to Munich!

Probably because the weather was so fantastic that weekend . . .

Don't I look super warm?!
In March, I headed to Munich for the weekend with a friend from Paris. As you can see from the photo, it was miserable weather on the Saturday. It was so windy we could barely walk down the street. There was no real plan so we just wandered around in between going inside to warm up!

We headed up Ludwigstrasse past the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich . . .

towards Feldherrnhalle a monument to the Bavarian Army.

and because now we had been outside for more than 5 minutes, it was time to take a break to warm  up.

From there we went to Marienplatz where sits the New Townhall (Neues Rathaus) which is a pretty cool building. It was built in the late 1800s and only slightly destroyed during the 1944 air raids.

The building is best known for the musical clock that is built into the tower.

Off the square is a pedestrian mall where I took a couple more shots.

And of course we had to enjoy beer and bretzels!
